The Texas State 4-H Horse Show is the pinnacle of the 4-H horse project and offers many opportunities to 4-H youth including up to 40 classes of competition, educational programs, scholarships, and college preparation opportunities. Drs. Jennifer Zoller, Horse Specialist, and Chelsie Huseman, Horse Specialist along with numerous county extension agents, volunteers, and supporters manage the seven-day show.
The Multi-County New Landowner Education program is a series of informational meetings, seminars, and field days designed to make new/small landowners in Grimes & Waller Counties aware of what types of agricultural enterprises are best for their property. If you plan on using a state limited use or state restricted use pesticide, such as Grazon P+D, 2 4-D, Weedmaster, etc., and need a license, the Texas AgriLife Extension Service will be hosting 4 Private Applicator Training yearly at the Waller County Extension Office.
